# Evri scam texts: how to spot a fake

Scammers copy Evri because millions of people use it. Here's how to tell a fake Evri message from a real one, and what to do if you already clicked.

By the TapSafely editorial team · Updated 16 September 2026

## In short

Evri says it will never ask you to pay or to reschedule a delivery by text or email, and will never ask you to install an app. Genuine Evri texts show the sender as Evri rather than a mobile number, and the only links are tracking links starting https://evri.link/.

**Most common fake:** Text asking for a small fee to reschedule a missed delivery.

**Safest check:** Track your parcel yourself at evri.com/track.

## What Evri says

Evri says it will never ask you to pay or to reschedule a delivery by text or email, and will never ask you to install an app. Genuine Evri texts show the sender as Evri rather than a mobile number, and the only links are tracking links starting https://evri.link/. ## Common fake Evri messages

- Text asking for a small fee to reschedule a missed delivery
- Email with a generic Dear Customer greeting and an unfamiliar link
- Message urging you to act quickly without giving real parcel details
- Prompt to install an app to track or release a parcel
- Unexpected parcels sent to you as part of a brushing scam

## Evri's real web addresses

Genuine Evri links and emails use these domains. Look at the part just before the first single slash: **evri.com** is real, but **evri-support-center.com** or **evri.com.account-check.top** are not.

- **evri.com**
- **evri.link**
- **hermes-europe.co.uk**
- **myhermes.co.uk**

Scammers can also hide a fake link behind real-looking text. [Learn how to read a web address](https://tapsafely.com/scams/phishing-links).

1. Track your parcel yourself at evri.com/track
2. Check the text sender shows as Evri, not a mobile number, and emails come from evri.com
3. Contact Evri using the details on evri.com, not the numbers or addresses in the message

## How to report a fake Evri message

## If you clicked, paid or shared details

### Act quickly. It makes a difference.

1. If you entered card or bank details, call your bank now using the number on your card, and ask them to block the card.
2. If you entered a password, change it on the real Evri website or app and turn on two-step verification.
3. Expect follow-up calls or messages pretending to help. Never share one-time codes or move money to a "safe account".
4. Report the scam, then delete the message.
